Youtube Cone is a video searcher, downloader and player program. As you know there are a lot of video sharing site. searching and collecting videos is so easy with this program. Main features: ?Search Videos from Youtube ?Play Videos ?Download Videos ?Organise your Favorite Lists The application is developed by Vidcone and the version analyzed is 1.0. The interface is nice and simple (a little greenish) and the options are scarce. But all these do not concert to diminishing its value or functionality. The search bar available allows the users to search for videos on the website. The menu bar is practically inexistent as well as options or settings. What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) principle is applied with generosity in this case and everything is out into the open.Users can view the videos directly in the built in player YouCone comes equipped with or download them on the HDD for later viewing or for saving purposes. The player will open in a separate window and functions exactly like the flash player on the website: watch it as it downloads. An issue could be that the window cannot be modified in any way, so enlarging or scaling it down is out of the question. On the other hand, you can open it in the web browser. There is no context menu popping up when you right click one of the search results and everything seems a little hard to do. Adding the videos to your favorites is easy and all you need is to find the right button (under the Search button, the little yellow star). Useless to say that the download is Internet connection dependent. Downloading the video does not require too much effort from your part and a simple double click on the search result will open it.
