Photilla Photo Album Software is a photograph viewer and organizer. It is a very light-weight download that makes it somewhat easy to view your pictures. The way you are intended to use this application is to add photos to albums and create tags so that you can find your pictures easier. However, I see a lot of functions missing. Adding pictures is as easy as clicking the "import folder" button or dragging and dropping pictures into an already-made album or tag. When you create a tag, all you should do is create a new album. You have to drag or copy photos to the tag albums so that they get "tagged". You then find the pictures by going to the tag album that you are looking for. For me, the main problem with the app is that it is not intuitive at all. Moreover, since there is no search feature at all, should I look through all my albums just to find the tags? In my book, tags are supposed to make everything easier. Just search for a tag and find all the pictures that are tagged. That easy. This is not the case with Photilla Photo Album Software. In a nutshell, this application is not the best for maintaining a big photo collection. Its integration with other tools from NCH Software is a good thing. Since you can burn or convert images with just a few clicks. If you are really looking for a good image viewer and cataloging software, I have to recommend Picasa.
